There are a few factors to consider to help you choose the right golf ball for your game.
The TaylorMade golf balls in our assortment typically feature one of two cover types: urethane or Iothane®. Urethane is a popular cover, offering plenty of feel and control. Iothane is an exceptionally soft, thin and shear-resistant cover material created by TaylorMade to provide more distance off the tee and optimal touch around the greens.
We carry TaylorMade golf balls, with three, four or five layers.
- Three-piece golf balls provide incredible spin control but may not travel as far as a four- or five-piece ball.
- Four-piece golf balls are Tour-caliber balls that allow for explosive distance and precise spin.
- Our TaylorMade five-piece balls are designed for highly skilled golfers seeking optimum distance, spin and feel.
The compression rating indicates how much the ball will compress when struck by the clubface. Choose compression rating based on your swing speed—the faster your swing, the higher the compression rating should be. Lower-compression golf balls are designed to create more distance, while higher-compression balls are ideal for players with faster swing speeds. Most average male players and long-hitting women should choose a compression rating around 90, while average-hitting women, older players and beginners may prefer a rating of 80 or lower. If you regularly drive the ball over 275 yards, you may want to consider a compression rating of 100 or more.
