Take your performance to the next level with Callaway Steelhead XR irons and hybrids from Golf Galaxy. Learn more about each club in the new Steelhead XR family.
Steelhead XR Irons
The new Steelhead XR irons are inspired by the Callaway Steelhead X-14 that was released in 2000—arguably the most popular irons Callaway ever created. The new Steelhead XR irons feature Callaway’s next-generation 360 Face Cup™ technology, allowing the edges of the clubface to flex more at impact to enhance ball speed and distance—even on off-center hits. A steel-infused polyurethane bar sits behind the bottom of the face, adding weight and lowering the center of gravity (CG) while reducing vibration for optimum sound and feel.
Each iron in the new Steelhead XR family is designed to serve a specific purpose. The long irons feature a lower CG, set farther back to promote higher launch with more carry. The CG in the mid irons is more centered, leading to more controlled shots. Finally, the short, scoring irons are designed for lower launch and optimal control.

Callaway Steelhead XR iron shafts are available in both graphite and steel.
Steelhead XR Hybrids
The new XR hybrids are built for maximum forgiveness. The next-gen Hyper Speed Face Cup effectively enlarges the most flexible spots on the face, resulting in exceptional ball speed and major distance. Launch the ball higher and longer with the larger clubhead and deep-back CG, and experience added forgiveness and increased MOI thanks to the refined shape.
The stepdown sole shape allows the clubhead to glide through turf with ease to preserve power, while Speed Step Technology ensures aerodynamic efficiency by improving airflow over the crown. Address every shot with confidence—even when you mis-hit off the heel or toe, the new Steelhead XR hybrids will keep your ball on target.
