Worth the money

Was hitting about 25 to 45 yards behind my playing partners with my Callaway Octane Tour. Hit the new Nike, Callaway and old R11s. The R1 blew them away in all categories except price. I am now staying with and or exceeding some of my playing partners. My scores are coming down. Its easier hitting 125 yard approaches instead of 165 yard shots.
Probably the Best Driver Ever Made By Any Manufacturer
Husker Al from Northern Virginia, VA | 3/30/2013 12:34 PM
First, properly adjusted for your swing, this driver is very, very straight even on mis-hits so missing the fairway is pretty hard to do. Second, the more you swing this club, the farther you'll hit it: After 3 weeks, I can fly some 250+ yards in the cool weather of March, and I'm 53. I expect to regularly hit it 290+ yards by Summer. Enough said.
Awesome lot, hot face

Hit this club a couple of times in store and compared to my Callaway Tour Authentic and wow! First swing with a hoodie on ball speed was 169 mph with a total distance of 305. Second time I hit it I was getting 170+ mph ball speeds hitting it 314+ yards. This club is deep, even deeper than RBZ stage 2! The look is amazing too, yes at first I was skeptical but its great for alignment and easy on the eyes. Great club get one!
Another great product from Taylormade
Fernando Solorzano from Coral Springs, FL | 1/31/2013 6:55 AM
The R1 driver has to be the best driver released to date by Taylormade Golf. The sound of the driver is solid (not to loud a ping), and the feel is just as solid. The driver is a few yards longer due to a stronger flight and better control of spin (compared to R11 and R11S models).
Different from what I thought
Chris. O from Boston, MA | 1/19/2013 4:36 PM
They had this driver at my club and the pro asked me if I wanted to try it out. I thought this driver wouldn't be good. But I was proved wrong. It hits good and the noise it makes is not as sharp as the r11s. The adjustablility is great and I can fit it to my swing. Another thing that surprised me were the graphics. I thought they would be irritating but they were actually sharp and they suited my eye nicely. Overall a really good driver.
