Penta TP is the first and only five-layer Tour ball and the most complete ball in golf. Each layer is engineered to optimize performance in five key shot categories that skilled players need - driver, long-irons, middle-irons, short-irons and partial wedges.
"I switched to Penta TP last year because of its performance on all shots, in all conditions. It's easily the best ball I've ever played." - Tour Pro, Martin Kaymer
"I tried five or six different balls and kept coming back to the Penta TP. It took care of improving both my strengths and my weaknesses." - Tour Pro, Jim Furyk
5 Layers: 5 Levels of Performance
- Feel: Urethane Cover delivers a soft Tour feel plus a combination of higher spin-rate and lower launch angle on wedge shots
- Spin: Outer Mantle promotes optimum spin off short-irons, as well as higher ball speed and increased distance
- Control: Middle Mantle gives you more control with mid-irons, and prevents up-shooting
- Launch: Inner Mantle delivers soft feel, high launch and low spin off the long-irons for exceptional distance plus a high, soft-landing flight
- Distance: Core promotes high launch/low spin off the driver for maximum carry and distance, as well as more ball speed for long-hitters

Best for me

For me, this ball is as good or better than any ball I have ever played. Apparently the Pro VI is the benchmark for high line golf balls but for me, my swing, contact, plane, speed, etc, this is the best. Now I'm not saying the Pro VI is junk, it's just not for me. That's the funny thing about golf, there are no 2 swings that are alike so why would you take somebody else's opinion on something? You have to find what's right for you so take every review with a grain of salt, especially on clubs.
Great ball all around

I have been hitting my driver around the 250 yard mark, but always with a power fade. This ball has actually helped me straighten my driver gaining about 20 yards in average, while with the short irons this ball will back up some. You will get fantastic results if you like to hit low distance controlled pitches. I don't play ProVs anymore after I realized what this ball has to offer me.
I shoot on the high 70's with this ball.

This is a good ball but not as good as the ProV1x, for me at least. The ball flight is way too high with the driver and in my opinion it has too much spin, but I do have a fast swing (105 MPH w/ driver). I also seemed to lose some yardge with it, but the price is much better.
So long, Pro V1x!

I love this ball. Great spin with short irons into the green, straight and long off the driver, good distance control with the long irons. I don't know if it's the ball, but after going to the Penta from several years with ProV1x's, I've dropped a full stroke on my handicap (7.7 to 6.6), and have been scoring more consistently in the 70's. Plus they're a lot cheaper!
Great Value.. One of the best balls out there today

Many pros are making the change to the revolutionary 5-layer design of the Penta and it is probably the highest competitor to the Titleist ProV1
