"The MP-54 is for players who have grown up on forgiving golf equipment - but want a little bit more from their shotmaking. It still has all the forgiveness most modern players are used to - but with so much more feel and workability. It's still MP, still traditional - but more aggressive."
-David Llewellyn, Golf Club R&D Manager

Best combo of performance and forgiveness in market
Taylor B from Washington, DC | 2/28/2014 7:43 PM
Buy them. The best irons on the market offering performance and forgiveness are these MP54s and the Ping i25s... Mizunos feel better than any irons on the market. Buy them.
The new Mizuno irons are playing exactly as I hoped.

I have played three rounds to date on three different golf courses. So far I am extremely pleased with the MP54 irons. I actually seem to have gained a club length back with my short irons 6 through P wedge.

Just traded up from JPX-825 to the MP-54's. These are the clubs I've been looking for. They are forgiving enough to make mis-hit shots still playable, but have enough feedback to let you know what just happened. Mizuno's reputation for "butter" is an appropriate example of sweet spot hits. Can't wait for my game to improve enough to take full advantage of what appears to be a club I'll be playing for a long time.
