I bought these about 3 weeks ago and it was between the x20's and the x22's. I decided to get these because they were more functional for my balance. I'm averaging about 150 with the pitch and about 160 with my 9 in the x20's. I'm not sure why the guy is using a 7 to hit 150 .... that's baffling me truly. Are these are great clubs if your don't have a 5 handicap? I guess. I would recommend these clubs over any clubs in the price range of $4-$600 any day of the week.

The X20 irons were one of Callaway's most successful products. These were marketed as game improvement irons so I can't understand why a 5 handicapper would buy these. For those of us still developing our game, you can't go wrong with these. I've had mine for 3 years and still love them. The technology has improved slightly with the newer product lines, but these are selling for half of what they did 3 years ago. It's a great value allowing high to mid handicappers to get into a set of premium irons at knock off prices.

These are the worst clubs I have ever used. I bought them in Apr 2010, to upgrade from my Cleveland TA5. Bad decision, they are 1 0r 2 clubs shorter in length then my TA5's. From 150 yards I have to hit a 7 or 8 iron, where my TA5's is 9 Iron. I have tried to contact Callaway about the clubs and no reply. I'm looking at selling these clubs and buy either Taylor Made or Cleveland. These will be good clubs for a beginner, not a low handicap player. I have A 5 handicap.
I thought I should buy the newer X-22 but opted for these based on price and experience.

As it turns out, the X-20 clubs are great. I had X-12's and these are much better regarding weighting and feel. I hit them much better.
